Immerse yourself in the timeless techniques of hand-darning and learn to repair your knitwear and knit fabrics! Passed down through generations, this meditative and sustainable practice of preserving your cherished textiles will help you give your worn out socks and sweaters a new life!
In this workshop, students will learn how to darn a rectangular patch using yarn. Learn how to identify knit fabrics, learn about the best tool and materials used to make repairs, and create a mending sampler to practice repair techniques!
This is an introductory class and all skill levels are welcome. Materials included.
This workshop has a 3 person minimum.

cotton embroidery thread
2 x tapestry needles in different sizes
5 x darning needles
wool mending yarn
