Simple Zine Making Workshop
Simple Zine Making Workshop
Sunday, January 26
2:30pm - 4:30pm
Led by Bekah McFarland
Zines are an incredible way to share information, create art, process grief, discuss hobbies, build community, and showcase unconnected moments. In this workshop, Bekah will share zines from their collection and walk participants through two simple zine formats that can be done at home. Participants will then be able to fill their zines however they wish and pass them around to share with fellow workshop participants (but only if they want to).
Bring your ideas and drawing materials--or come in with neither and just go with the rhythm of it all! Paper, drawing materials, scissors, and other zine making materials will be provided.
Prerequisites:
None
Class Includes:
2 hours of Instruction from Bekah McFarland
All materials included during the class to create your own zine!
Meet Your Facilitator:
Rebekah McFarland is an aspiring hermit who has reluctantly acquiesced to the demands of modern society by becoming a book binder and memory worker. Bekah has three cat familiars and two human partners, and an unruly garden to keep them all in. When not playing video games, squeaking away at the fiddle, or sewing and knitting, Bekah reads books, writes books, and binds books. In terms of books, Bekah is a triple threat.
